Notifications are used to report a problem, request work, or record an event or activity. Work orders are created against the notifications to log the costs and the operations performed. Elements included are: description, functional location, priority, source (reported by) and main work center and dates.

Common Issues: Data integrity was compromised as users could not remember to navigate to portions of various screens.

GuiXT Solution Suite is used to simplify the process and automate steps. An interface is created that is no more than one click away for each piece of the PM notification, PM order and PM order confirmation transactions. Screen simplification to end users was achieved while still maintaining SAP transport cycle for SOX compliance and IT development process control.
